Rep. Fritts Passes Two Local Initiatives

Yesterday, two bills filed by State Representative Bradley Fritts (R-Dixon) passed through the Senate. In response, he released the following statement.

House Bill 2582 removes duplicate motorcycle testing. The bill picked up 26 bipartisan co-sponsors in the House and 9 bipartisan co-sponsors in the Senate. HB 2582 was carried through the Senate by Senator Doris Turner and passed with a unanimous vote of 56-0.  

House Bill 2963 allows the Dixon Park District to install solar panels on their property. The bill had 7 bipartisan co-sponsors in the House and was carried through the Senate by Senator Win Stoller. HB 2963 also passed unanimously with a vote of 56-0. 

“Both of these bills are local initiatives brought to me by my constituents,” said Rep. Fritts. “ I am in Springfield to be a voice for the people of my district and to advocate for legislation that will have a positive impact on their lives. I am proud to say that both of these bills accomplish that, and I am thankful that I was able to make a difference in my own community.”
