Illinois State Fair History

The first Illinois State Fair was held in Springfield 170 years ago today on October 11, 1853. Over the years, the State Fair has hosted fantastic grandstand acts, fun-filled parades, delicious fair food, amazing attractions, and even some U.S. Presidents.
