Senior Fair
Join us for a FREE Senior Health Fair on Thursday, July 18th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at DeKalb High School, located at 501 Dresser Road.
I encourage all local seniors to come out for our free senior health fair! There is always more that can be done to benefit our senior community. This fair is a great resource that will allow seniors to receive multiple services at once, saving both time and money.
The senior health fair will provide resources about how to save money, improve their health, and offer free health screenings. There will be dozens of vendors available from area businesses, organizations, and state agencies aimed at helping seniors in every aspect of their lives.
For questions, please contact Representative Fritts’ office at 815-561-3690.

Community Outreach
Last week, I attended an open house at the new OSF Life Flight Hangar in Whiteside County. With limited access to healthcare options in rural areas, this hangar will allow for the quick transfer of critical patients to other medical facilities. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
Thanks to everyone who came out for my joint Coffee & Conversation event with Leader Tony McCombie! We both enjoyed speaking with constituents about our efforts in Springfield and around our local communities.
I traveled to Chicago for a tour of Chicago State University. As a member of the Higher Education Appropriations Committee, I took this opportunity to learn more about how some of our public universities operate here in Illinois. Thank you to the staff that gave us an informative tour of your campus!
The Dixon Park District has officially been approved to host a solar field on their land! I am proud to say that one of my first bills to pass the House, HB 2963, made this effort possible by allowing solar to be developed on this specific park property. Thank you to all of the constituents and stakeholders who worked with me to pass this initiative, which will allow more local control, generate energy, and save taxpayer dollars!
What an incredible ribbon cutting at the new Rural Mini Food Center that will provide 24/7 access to food for communities in need. Thank you to the Ogle County Health Department for running this and Teen Turf for hosting this center on their land. This is going to be a huge resource for those in need and I appreciate everyone’s hard work on making this idea a reality!
Thank you to everyone who came out for my Summer Tour event at Sunset Inn Family Restaurant in Amboy. It was a fun event with good coffee and great company!
Congratulations to the new Jersey Mike’s location in Dixon on your grand opening! This is a great addition to our community and I look forward to seeing their success for years to come.
