Legislative Updates from Rep. Fritts

I am excited to offer an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Drive, alongside House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Sauk Valley Community College, and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA).

Join us on Saturday, October 26th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Sauk Valley Community College, located at 173 IL-2 N in Dixon. I encourage residents to come out and utilize this free service that will make our community safer!

Reservations are required and can be made by clicking here. For more information, including a list of accepted items, visit my website at RepFritts.com.

I attended the 6th annual Manufacturing Dinner at Sauk Valley Community College, hosted by the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. We heard from industry leaders and celebrated our local manufacturing!

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers stopped by E. D. Etnyre & Company on their manufacturing bus tour. Thanks to AEM for all your support of our local manufacturing!

My staff attended two stops on the ‘Makers on the Move’ tour at Raynor Garage Doors in Dixon and IDEAL Electrical in Sycamore. This tour is hosted by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) as a way to honor our local manufacturing. So proud of both Raynor and IDEAL for their continued excellence in manufacturing!

The final stop on the Association of Equipment Manufacturers bus tour in the 74th District was at HCC, Inc. in Mendota. I am so proud of all the incredible manufacturers in our district and appreciate the support from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers!

Thanks to the Illinois Department on Aging for hosting a roundtable discussion on Illinois’ plan for seniors. This was a great opportunity for our community to learn more about the issues facing our senior population and the solutions we can work on together.

Another stop on the Association of Equipment Manufacturers bus tour at ASTEC in Sterling! My staff attended this celebration in honor of the important work they do.

During my time touring the 74th District, I’ve heard from many constituents and organizations who want to support our local communities but don’t know where to start. To meet this need, I am proud to introduce my new ‘Community Calendar’ on my official state website! Here, residents can view upcoming community events in one streamlined location.
