Community Outreach

The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed a new member, Little O’s Frozen Treats. Congratulations to both the Chamber and Little O’s on this great partnership!

My office recently attended a blessing for the new OSF Resilient Healing program, which provides supportive care for survivors of sexual assault. This is an incredible program that offers various services in the hopes of increasing the percentage of survivors who receive proper follow-up care.

The first event of my 2025 Summer Tour was a hit! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my Coffee & Conversation event at Lincoln Way Cafe in Franklin Grove. It was a pleasure speaking with constituents about recent developments in Springfield and important local issues.

I recently toured Select Employees Credit Union in Sterling to learn more about their work. We discussed various important topics such as interchange fees on taxes and tips and community reinvestment. They are also incredibly involved in our community with organizations such as United Way, Sinnissippi Centers, NAMI, and more!

I toured the Amboy Depot Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Amboy Depot Museum is both fun and educational. Thank you for having me!

We had a great shred event with Self Help Enterprises! We collected 1,262 lbs. of documents to be shredded. Always a pleasure to host this event alongside Self Help to provide this service to our community!

We had a great discussion at our Agriculture Roundtable, co-hosted by Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and State Representative Jeff Keicher in Sycamore. Thank you to the leaders in our local agriculture community for attending to discuss how we can best represent you in Springfield!

Discover Dixon hosted State Senator Li Arellano and I for a legislative update at the Post House in Dixon. We both gave an update about our spring legislative session and answered questions from the audience. Always appreciate these opportunities to remain accessible and transparent with constituents!

Thank you to the City of Rochelle and the Rochelle Police Department for co-hosting our Rx Drop Off Drive! We had great turnout from local residents who want to help keep our community safe.

It was my honor to present the team at Bill & Dick Barber Shop with a certificate to honor their 60th anniversary. Congratulations to Dick and Sheri on their continued success in our community!
