State Representative Brad Fritts (R-Dixon) has officially been named to serve on six House Committees; Transportation: Rail Systems, Roads and Bridges, Transportation: Vehicle Safety, Labor and Commerce, and Financial Institutions, as well as two Appropriations Committees dealing with Public Safety and Higher Education.
“I look forward to diving in deeper on these topics over the next two years, and influencing the legislation and work that comes out of these committees in a positive way for my district and all of Illinois,” Rep. Fritts said.
Committee assignments were handed out by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie this week while legislators were down in Springfield for the first full week of session in the 103rd General Assembly. Committees meet at the discretion of their Democrat chairpersons and are not yet scheduled to meet, but expectations are that committee work will begin next week.
The 74th District is located in north-central Illinois and is comprised of the communities of Dixon, Mendota, Rochelle, and Sterling. Rep. Fritts was sworn into his first term in the House of Representatives on January 11th, 2023.
“I encourage anyone to reach out to my office with input on these policy areas, I welcome all feedback from the district to ensure your views are fairly represented in our statehouse,” Rep. Fritts continued.
The Representative is opening a new office, centrally located in the district, at 101 W 1st Street, Suite 501, in Dixon. Constituents can contact Rep. Fritts’ office with their thoughts on legislation in the General Assembly and these committees by emailing Fritts@ilhousegop.org.
